TCU & TCU fuse Location?
its a 86 body but has been swapped from the 4cylinder to the L6 for some reason but after some research I found a picture on Google with the wire locations. I just have to figure out how to get the red wire back in the terminal. the TCU prong broke off inside it as well due to corrosion. I just went and purchased a 89 model donor so this weekend I'm going to just cut the plug out and heat shrink the new plug in instead of messing with all that. I have a new TCU from ebay coming as well. So I might have an extra if anyone is interested i paid 160 for it.

That photo was taken just to illustrate "back probing" with meter leads.
Check that fuse absolutely first. Another area that can give you issues with your tCU is below, with a photo.
Cruiser’s Trans Plug Refreshing
Over near the transmission dipstick tube are 2 rather large connectors. One is black and the other gray. These 2 connectors carry all the info between TPS, TCU, NSS, speed sensor, and transmission solenoids.
Unplug each one, visually inspect for corrosion or bent pins, spray them out with electrical contact cleaner and plug them back in.
Additionally, if your Jeep is an 87 to 90 Renix, it’s always a good idea to reach up under the glovebox area and unplug the connector to the TCU and spray it out along with the receptacle of the TCU. While you’re there, find the fuse right in that area for the TCU. Remove it and spray out it’s receptacle and clean any corrosion from the fuse.

Read your forum today and it was the dam 10 amp fuse, wow your the first person to tell me it's on the passenger side under the glove box and sure enough it's right there thanks again we need more people on here who really know, really know what they are talking about
