Default Tail pipe fitting on a ‘92

Hello everyone
My stock tailpipe on my ‘92 happens to be rusted but my muffler is OK, I was thinking to Only replace the pipe for the Moment to save a bit and maybe in the future get a kit or just another muffler.....
My shop atm has got only “87 to 89” and a “93 to 9somethin” I have asked and they say they aint going to store my spare .... the guy seemed a bit confused though...
By the look of it my tailpipe looks like the 87_89 ... could it be compatible with my car? If its Matter of a minor weld or cutting I think I could manage it... anybody has some infos? Not many shops for this stuff over here...

Best I can tell is that the Walker tailpipe 45944 is what you want and looks like it fits '86 to '92 XJ's so.....

What?
The Walker pipe number I posted seems to say fits '86 to '92 every where I look.
Check the Walker site to see for yourself.

Any decent muffler shop can bend one up pretty quick. Most of the chain outfits only want to install off-the-shelf parts with heavy markup. If you want cheap bolt-on, just buy the Walker parts and do it yourself.
