Default Stripped top caliper mounting bolt

So I was replacing the brakes and can't get the top caliper mounting bolt snug.... Took it apart and noticed its stripped badly. What are my options? I've never tried to re thread so this will be my first experience with this.

I just had the same issue with my ZJ. I drilled out the hole and tapped it, then I installed a heli-coil and a new bolt. No problems since. New knuckles can be had for a tidy sum, or go to the boneyard if you don't want to go the route I did.

^THIS - I did the same thing on my 96xj and it held up fine for 2 years until I replaced the knuckle. Just take your time tapping it because it felt really soft.

Did the helicoil pretty easy job. Took about 15 minutes to do. Worked fine. Thanks for the advise. So for anyone having this issue get a kit from auto parts store. But be ready for the handle to strip, had to use grips on the end and twist them to get the threads complete.
