the jeep i just got is missing the fender flares and i think a bit of trimming was done.
would anyone know the measurement from center of wheel to the hood level?

dunno, but do this
place something flat across your roof rack rails and measure from the bottom of that to the ground. Stock dimension for this was 70-3/4" +/-.
Keep in mind this will not be definitive. Oversize tires, sagging springs, unlevel ground - all things that could throw the measurement off.

a definitive way to measure is from the top of axle tube(no steering linkage or anything but the actual tube) to the bottom of the frame rail(again nothing but the frame rail).
stock front: 6 3/4"
stock rear: 6"
stock front: 6 3/4"
stock rear: 6"

I took my flares off and my front is 19" from the center of rim to bottom of fender and the rear is 20 1/2". I always thought mine was stock height. I was planning on getting some ZJ V8 front coils to level it out but now I am second guessing it due to what you guys said is stock height (17") Can anyone tell me if without the flares I am still sitting stock?

my plan is the OM 2" leafs and new stock shocks and stock replacement shackles. the front will get 2" spacers. I figure with the backs et-up like this it will be level.

That's my plan too! I think it's cost-efficient. I see no need for the OME shocks and coil springs - as Diesel has pointed out the shocks are basically re-badged Monroe's. Plus the whole OME kit is $750, doing it piecemeal seems like the best option.
