Hey all, I've seen the procedures for replacing each seperate but not together, even though everyone says to replace them all together.
Is it easier to do one before the other, and I'm assuming you don't tighten anything before everything is replaced since you'll need some play.
Any tips/tricks/advice welcome.

Yes. Do them separately.

Can you please elaborate? Maybe I should have clarified...I only have one jack so they will be done somewhat separately. I wasn't planning on taking everything out simultaneously.Originally Posted by cruiser54

Replace the engine mouonts.
Then, replace the trans mount.
Don't remove all 3 or anything like that.

Be careful with the cross member bolts, they can snap and are a pain to fix. Since you are in SoCal, I imagine they should be in pretty good shape but soaking them days before in PB blaster should help.

Thanks, Cruiser. Motor mounts first, gotcha!Originally Posted by cruiser54

Thanks for the input, bolts won't be an issue as I replaced them somewhat recently with the TC drop. Gotta love rust-free SoCal.Originally Posted by OldTires

i'm sure i don't have to say this, but be sure to use a 2x4 across the oil pan when you jack the engine up. don't just use the jack in the middle of the pan.
also, do drivers side, then passenger side. don't pull both bolts out at same time. and insert bolts the same as they came out.

I'm aware, but good tips for someone that may be newer to working on vehicles and reads this later.Originally Posted by caged

I had to use a couple 4x4s between the jack and oil pan to jack the engine up high enough to reinstall the new mounts.
