96 XJ still stumbles after replacing crank sensor with factory
96 jeep xj 2wd 4.0
Driving fine then got a p1391 code a mile from home. Replaced crank sensor with factory and it didn't resolve the stumbling, but the check engine light went off. Replaced entire distributor since- new cam sensor. A cell in my battery was low, probably for a while, so I replaced it with a new one. Runs OK with nothing drawing on the battery while running, but once lights or a/c are turned on- it starts to stumble until it dies. Please help!

Take it to autozone or advanced and have the alternator/battery checked for bad cell in the battery or shorted diode in the alternator. They have a great little machine, microprocessor controlled, that will print out the diode pattern.
Best part is, it's a free test and takes only minutes.
Sounds like your main running voltage is being dropped with any kind of a load on ie, alt or batt prob.
