Default replacing u joints

Alright yall, i've found out that a few of my u joints are goin out on me and i'm just gonna replace em all in one go, but i was told that there's a ball inbetween my 2 u joints from the front driveshaft to the transfer case. By any chance is this the ball that i've been told to replace (in the link below), and why was it recommended?

Thanks in advance,
Redwolf

I don't see any "link below".
The front shaft is a double cardan, basically two u-joints with a yoke and centering ball between them. When it fails you'll think sparrows have moved in. I don't consider it a PM item, rebuild when it needs it.

Here is the rebuild kit for front driveshaft. Includes centering yoke. http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/p107...355x_cent.html

Do the centering yoke and ball. It's better to rehab the whole thing at once and have the peace of mind.

Buy the whole yoke if you can. The ball can be a pain to get out sometimes. Just a suggestion, but when I rebuilt my front shaft, I also replaced the h-yoke since it's pretty cheap. Then I painted everything black except the u-joints. End result is essentially a brand new driveshaft that looks good and will be much more resistant to rust, with beefed up joints too.
