Default Steering Stabilizer

I cant get the bolt on the steering bar off. Not the one on the mounting bracket near the passenger coil but the one on the bar itself. Is it supposed to slide out or is it supposed to unscrew from the bar. Thanks a ton.

Its supposed to slide out, just use some wd40, some persuation and plenty of beer while you take moments to curse at the part and laugh at yourself for doing that

if that doesnt work you may have to replace the drag link. my buddy broke his bolt off about 4 months ago and he has been driving it just like that hoping it pops out. he has a replacement drag link. just hasnt gotten to it. check the junkyard.

My brother-in-law (my mechanic) needed to use heat and a BFH too, but it came off.

leave the stabilizer bolted up and use a BFH and hit the bulge on the drag link right above the bolt for the stabilizer. it should pop right out. then unbolt the stabilizer. unless you are just replacing the shock, then you can leave the stud in the drag link.

Got it finally. Used a wheel puller and air hammer and a sledge hammer. Finally was just about to give up after the last final wheel pull and my dad comes out and says let me take a hit at it. I was like ok fine your not going to get it out but go ahaed and try and three hits with the sledge and i hear a pop and it falls off. I dont get it I am just as big as he is and he pops it out like childs play.
