If futzing with the starter relay allows the engine to turn over, REPLACE the starter relay, or try swapping it with another one as a troubleshooting technique. They generally are of the same part number, so swapping is okay.

If swappin the relay doesnt work. Or sorta works.

Got a test light? Id start with checking to see if your getting start signal at the starter.

Then you can remove the starter relay to see if you have proper power ground to the relay and make sure those connections are good. Ive seen it a few times where u have to get in there with a pick or something and clean/fix the connections.

HTH

good luck

Mine wouldn't start last week, drop it in neutral and see if will start. I replaced the starter in mine turns out wasn't the starter. Hope it starts in neutral

have you tapped the starter with a hammer yet assuming your getting juice to the small wire on starter when the key is turned to start position

If you have power on the big wire and power on the little wire, while some one holds the key in the start position than its safe to assume you need a starter. If you tap on the starter and it works then it is also safe to assume you have a bad starter.

Side note. Make sure your batt connections are good. It doesnt take much amperage to light up a test light but it does take quite a bit to start the vehicle. If you have any sort of corrosion or loose connections at all fix these first. I have seen lots of starters mis-diagnosed due to bad connections.

Good luck
