Default Starting issue

Hey guys, my 99 has been having trouble starting. I just put in a new fuel pump and crank sensor. The jeep will sometimes just crank and crank on the first attempt to start it, but it almost always starts up on the second try. Just recently it got pretty cold at night and it took 5 times to get it start. It mostly happens after sitting for awhile. Any ideas where I should look now?

Check valve on the fule pump?

Sounds like your losing fuel pressure.

Cycle the key are few times and see if it starts up.

What happens?

What brand did you replace it with? Sometimes parts are no good right from the store.
Did you replace the regulator?

It runs ok when you get it started?

its a bosch fuel pump. Alot more expensive but ya get what ya pay for. And yeah it usually runs great after it starts. occasionally when the jeep is cold and under accel it hesistates then takes off and runs fine.
I didnt even think about the regulator!!!

So to confirm, you replaced ONLY the pump part of the fuel pump assembly?

I always recommend replacing the entire assembly while you're at it............

I replaced the whole assembly so that means I got a new regulator? I was just out checking the pressures and it runs about50 under cranking and 53 while running

Does it run ok once it starts?

Whens the last time you tuned it up? Did it do this before you replaced the cps?
