ok let me first state this. THIS JEEP IS OFF ROAD ONLY. it will be trailered to the trails. its actaully a grand cherokee but nobody ever answers under the grand cherokee section. i was wondering if anyone has seen a full spool (or even a mini spool) for a d30 and a d35c clip. lockers are an option but really expensive plus lockers are made to be street driven. this again is off road only. i dont want to weld the gears cause spiders are not ment to be welded and i dont feel like changing axle shafts ever 300 yards.

 

No one out there makes a Spool for either of those axles...

 

gotta weld them hoss........or swap to a chryco 8.25....you wont break anymore axles welded than with a spool.

 

how likely am i to break shafts if i weld the spiders? cause i really cant afford lockers right now but the factory traction control is killing my off-roadability. my dad is an ironworker by trade so i know he will weld it strong. if they break, could i reweld them since its not driven on the street?
