Not sure if this is covered elsewhere so sorry for a repost if it is but on my 96' XJ the speedometer sometimes bounces from whatever speed im travelling to 0, right back to what it should be then to 0 again etc. I'm thinking maybe its a bad VSS (vehicle speed sensor) or the cable etc. I'm not too familiar with Jeeps but I do have a mechanical backround. Does my vehicle have a mechanical speedo or electrical, i suppose i could just drive it down the road and turn the Jeep off and figure it out lol Is there anything common to go with cherokees i should look for?
