XJ electrical weirdness
Driving down the highway in my 1998 XJ my airbag light came on followed by my speedometer and tachometer falling off then everything back to normal and would cycle like that. Is this a loose wire or something more ominous?

Its possible it could be a bad ground, but the airbag light coming on throws me off. I would grab your power prob or volt meter and check the grounds to ensure they are grounded properly.

Mine has done that once. Yes bad ground is likely. Causes airbag light to come on and gauges to fall dead. Others have had this happen as well. 9/10 times it's a bad ground. Check and clean your grounds and see if it comes back. Does it happen often?
