Default Speedometer

1989 jeep cherokee xj 4.0L.

Since I got my jeep I've noticed that my speedometer shakes as it climbs up to about 35 miles an hour. After 35 it's fine. Is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks

Always go over 35...could try spraying some lube in cable housing at connection behind cluster.

Cruiser should chime in here in soon about this but from what I understand is the factory cable driven speedometer cable has too sharp of a bend in it that makes it waver. He was a service manager at jeep and is a renix master. I don't think there is a fix

Lube the cable. It was an issue that was solved in later years by going with an electric speedo.

It might not eliminate it but it will help.
