Guys I'm ready to give up and buy a cummins. But I have to drive the jeep until then, sooo.

I just bought a new speed sensor. 97 Cherokee sport. Put it in, and nothing.

Speedily and odo not working at all. Anyone else have a solution to this problem?

Shameless self bump. Tried switching 2 wires and it did nothing.

Thanks dude! But one more q. When I pulled the old sensor off, it came out like in the pic. Isn't there supposed to be a gear on it???

the gear part is separate. That way you can change the gear without swapping the sensor.

Damn man, thanks! But I did NOT pull out a gear with my old sensor. So something isn't right. I hope it didn't fall into my tcase. The new one didn't have a gear either.

do you have it indexed correctly for the tooth count you have?

I never pulled the actual gear. Just the sensor, and AFAIK, its from the factory. I never messed with it before. Are there any fuses related to the speedo? All the other gauges work, if that helps.

I just touched the cables together on the battery, so ill try it now and see if it works.

It's fixed! Touching the cables reset and it must've recognized it now! Thanks man. Ice saved those links invade it happens again.
