I am 99% sure that's exactly what it is and that it just rotted out...Kizzy has some sick rust on her undercarriage but shoot, I didn't know things were gonna randomly fall off! lol Looks like I'll be getting some Zip Ties tomorrow...lol Sometimes I'm glad I work at a Home Depot. lol It almost looks like it was bolted/screwed on and they just fell out and it dropped?
I was outside in the 80+mph wind gusts crawling under her to check to see where it came off of cuz I didn't see it til I looked outside at the storm...LOL

Yep it is the connector for the emergency brake, was just under my Jeep today and saw it, though, "Huh, that's neat!".
Personally, would get some oversized washers since the bolt holes look like they're rusted out, and bolt it up back to the factory spot.

I was trying to find a pic of how it's placed and couldn't, and the weather wasn't exactly good for laying under my XJ in the street. LOL Don't suppose I could convince you to snap a pic and post it, could I?

haha It's a Jeep thing... LOL I don't mind it, and I live in New England where they salt like mad every winter, plus salt water, just terrible for rusting everything to bits. So depending on where you are, yeah, bits might just drop off, but if ya love it, you'll fix it and keep on goin'.

Well, I fixed it...apparently the mount is spot welded on, pretty sure, because the big metal thing (how's that for technical?) has 4 holes in it, but the L brackets that are on the frame that it should be mounted to, do not.
My solution? Super-hack it with 24 gauge hanging wire around the L brackets and the mount, just to get it up and out of the way til I decide between self-tapping screws and washers through the L brackets, or getting it welded back in place by someone with the skill to do that. My third option originally was to use pipe hanging clamps but the way that it's mounted wouldn't have made that a very viable option. I'm a poor kid, so this is gonna have to do for now!
