Default Snapped Tiny Fan Bolt. What would you do?

Ok, So I thought replacing the e-fan would be a quick and easy swap. The first little bolt I tried to undo it snapped. NOW WHAT?? The new fan didn't come with bolts. Looking for some of your suggestions.

They are just held in with a speed nut. I would break the speed nut/bolt and either got to Lowes or any auto part store and get a pack of them or ziptie it.

They are a dollar at lowes. I bet they have a pack of them with screws/bolts

Hardware store. Try an easy out on the broken one, drill and tap it if necessary or if you can get the backing off, find a suitable fastener to hold it in place.

I've used a jack-nut when the speed nuts were giving me grief. You might try that.

Winner!!! I was just going to zip tie it. But I think the self tapping screw idea is better.

Until you strip out the metal and you can use the hole any more. Doing it this way you also can put the fan exactly where it goes because there is a slot not a hole.

You don't have to use the same hole, that's the point of a self tapping screw, mines been like this for a few years.

LOL the plug went bad and that's all I had to fix it at the time, I keep forgetting about that, but it hasn't given me any trouble.
