Rotella: The world's first ever combined hair oil, foot ointment, and salad dressing
I've seen some relatively poor UOA results for wet clutch applications of T6. That said, I currently run it in my mx bike but change it every 2-3 hours. It seems to get sheared quickly in that use. I think its decent in a regular moto engine because you're not gear-smashing like the MX bikes.

I recall reading a lot of threads that while it was certified, the boron and moly really wasn't ideal for wet clutches and there are better oils for that application.
The moto oil threads are usually funny. 2 dudes say Rotella, 2 dudes say Amsoil, then the mods close it. ha!

I changed the oil & filter in my Jeep last week, after re-sealing the filter adapter.
The 5W40 Rotella-T6 oil seemed to be " thicker" compared to what I'm used to, as I was pouring it in the engine. I've used 10W40 before, but it wasn't a thick looking when pouring it. Oil pressure is up about 7-8 lbs, which may be good...
As long as the 4.0 stays glued I'll be happy with the T6 stuff though...

Hey Salad! Awesome Data! I'm hoping to bring my 4.0(YJ) back to life in a few months ...~204k... sounds like Rotella T6 will do her some good. De-lurked for the subscription. looking forward to the filter thread, if/when you do it.

5,000 miles on my engine and have always used dino 10w30. I'm using Rotella T6 now, 500 miles on this oil and I go to check the level its a 1/2 quart down? So I add another half. Is this a normal occurrence when switching from dino to synthetic?
Oil pressure is up slightly... so far so good otherwise! Definitely less 'tick' to the engine.
