I somehow get the feeling from his posts that CrawdadSlim really, really doesn't like Rotella but I'm not sure if he just doesn't like Shell in general or only Shell Rotella.

im assuming everyone buys 2 (1) gallon jugs

I have never bought the stuff, is there easy to read measuring on the container itself?

Way to much work. Add one gallon. Add roughly half the second bottle and then check level. I never have a issue and when i check regularly my oil level its still at the right mark.

Wow, easy there tiger. I was using humor to point out that for me this whole motor oil fetish thing is a bit over the top. To each his own.

salad pretty much did a very comprehensive write-up on oil. Put alot of time and effort into it.

It's not elders and their fetishes. It's newbies questioning the wisdom of the research already done.

Salad is a respected member here. If he took the time to do a writeup, yall do good to listen to him. Everyone has their preference of oil but I know for a fact rotella has cleaned my engine out. Runs smoother and oil comes out cleaner than with Mobil 1 i use to use. This thread gets the thumbs up.
