Yeah, there are some awesome rims on this Astro van in the local junkyard, with 4-inch backspacing.

I can get one inch easy then. I really don't want to spend total of $400 on a jeep that was free.

Could I notch my LCAs? if I half-box them after, they should be strong enough, I imagine.
seriously? this has to be the dumbest thing I have ever ever heard

again another dumb idea. do you even know what lug pattern you have on your jeep? stock is 5 on 4.5 and chev (last time i checked) is 5 on 5.5. those wheels will not fit. quit half#$$ing it and do it right before you kill yourself with not so bright ideas

Heh, I did a home alignment, that's why it drives at all! The Chevy rims are in fact 5 on 4.5, astros are a favorite around here and this one has some half-assed ford ranger parts, apparently the back axle (not saying for sure, this is just what it appears to be).

My jeep free, and there's no where I can go with a speed limit about 45. My DW is fine, the alignment is close as anyone can make it with too short track bars, worn out steering components, weak wheel bearings and bad U-joints. I could fix all this, but an 84 XJ with a V6 just isn't worth it. It's fun with the lift, I'm gonna drive it till it ****s bricks, and then get another car.

I'm sorry but I would like to protect the people of Alaska from ones that halfa@# a vehicle. The way he describes his XJ it shouldn't be on the road. Sounds like a death trap that will hurt innocent people
