Default Replacing climate control bulbs on '99 XJ?

So I got this white LED gauge kit from One Way Light in today and it came with climate control replacement lamps.

I pulled the bezel off. I got the 4 screws around the Climate Control Unit out, but I'm not sure if I need to actually take it out.

So my question is do I pull the ***** off and unlatch the face plate? Or do I unplug the wires and get to the bulbs from the back?

If I have to get to the bulbs from the back I have no clue how you remove the wires to the A/C Setting Control.

If someone could maybe describe to me how this might be done that would be great and I'd avoid breaking something for no reason.

All you have to do is access the back of the unit, leaving the wires and hoses attached, and remove the sockets with a less than 1/4 turn counterclockwise. They are just like the bulbs in the instrument cluster. Be aware that most small LEDs are polarity specific. If they don't light up, just pull out the sockets and turn them 180* and reinstall them. I just did the 4 in my WJs heater and didn't get even ONE of them right the first time! Try the lights before you screw it back in.

My WJ has a manual heater control and the A/C is just a lighted pushbutton with no serviceable bulb.

Thank you. I got it. Funny that you got none of 'em right the first time. I got all of 'em right the first time, loooll.

Got a couple questions for you though if you've installed this One Way Light kit before. 1.) It came with THREE Climate Control LEDs, but my whole A/C panel is lit up with only two. Where does the last one go? 2.) These Rocker LEDs. I've never heard of being able to change LED's in Rocker Switches. The switches for my air lockers have bulbs behind the switch. Not sure how you're supposed to get to that. 3.) Sometimes when I turn my Head Lights on and off for a split second I get 1 or 2 (it varies) Blinker Indicator lights that flash real quick. This is new since I installed these LEDs. What would cause that? 4.) How did you change the Diffusion Film? I can't slide it out because it's much wider in the middle. I guess I could cut it out, but I might just leave it if I have to do that.

In factory fog light, wiper, and defogger switches in an '00 XJ there is just one on top and one on the bottom. Quick twist and they come out. Think bottom is symbol illumination and top is indicator. But don't quote me on that. Not sure how an air locker switch is set up though.

I figured it all out. Thanks. You can't change out the bulbs in the particular switches I am using. I talked to Jason at One Way Light and he told me that I must have gotten an older set that had an extra Climate Control bulb. They put extra incase someone broke one.

Ralph77, have you ever changed the bulb in the Rear Defrost / Rear Wiper? It's a similar bulb to the Climate Control, but slightly smaller.

Yes. When I installed my Ext Idle switch the bulb was blown. I have spare switches up the ying yang. But do you know it took me pulling 4 bulbs from switches to find one that worked.
I was grabbing them from rear defrost or rear wiper switches. I have plans for my stock pile of fog light switches so I don't touch those. LOL.
Come to find out you can check them with a meter for continuity. So that saved some time.
But they are all the same for the factory switches.
Now I have never messed with any other lights in my dash.
