renix radiator upgrade standard shift
Mods haven't *****ed, and this thread isn't new.
I doubt this threads placement is going to bring down the forum, but I guess I could be wrong.
I'd love to get all the parts for $40, though. There is a place around me that makes their own radiators and gas tanks, my buddy knows people there. I am hoping to get a good deal if I need a new one.

Bump for Clarification -
Freedgr, you've got me all backwards now!
I've got mine sitting side by side, my fan switch I converted to toggle, so I don't care about that. What sensor is on the right side of the RENIX radiator, that plugs into the radiator itself? Is that the sending unit or water temp sensor?
I are so confused!1!!

http://tmar.net/coolant_flush.htm same part like 4 bucks though prestone flush kit with the tee
Have you tried this yet? I have a 90 cherokee and it is overheating when it idles to long. I figure all i need to do is connect the hoses to bypass/remove the overflow bottle, add one of those t fittings on the upper radiator hose, run a tube to an overflow bottle and be done. (and replace the radiator and t-stat). It would make dealing with the electrical switch issues unnecessary.
yep, thats the t-fitting i was talking about. in addition to the new overflow with the neck and cap like the t. then just run the small line from the t to the new overflow and then the old lines from the overflow, union them together? letcha know how it turns out. thanks alot! hopefully the headgasket isn't blown. I'm going to do cyl pressure tests and coolant sys pressure tests before i pull anything apart to see if I can narrow this down sum.

You dont need the t fitting with a newer radiator. I was just thinking that If i kept the old style, i wouldnt have to deal with any sensor/electrical issues as long as using that t-fitting accomplishes the same thing. It would add a cap and has a provision for an overflow bottle, so I am thinking its just as good? So i guess another question would be, is it better to just use a newer radiator or the t-fitting idea, and why?
