Default removing door hinge pins

so on the top hinge of my driver side door one of the torx bolts is stripped, i tried heating the top of the hinge and banging the pin out but no cigar. i dont want to heat it too much since i dont want to risk damaging the hinge pr door. i also dont want to drill the pin since im trying to keep it. i also heard you can cut the bottom hinge ear and then pulling the door up, making it somewhat removable. but i am not sure how to do this on the vehicle since none of my cutting stuff fits in between the fender and door. any suggestions?

I was able to get every bolt but one out on a door, i took the door and turned it every which way until the bolt broke. A dremel is about the only cutting tool that fits in there

I have a dremel but can't fit it in unless there is like a 90degree elbow that turns the blade, and I don't wanna try and tear the door off and break it instead of the bolt

Can you get a hold of the bolt with vice grips? Those bolts are not very hard to break free.

Understandable. I first tested this idea at the junkyard trying to get a set of doors and nothing bad happened. Did it again when I stripped the bolts on my jeep. Again worked well no issues. As long as the hinges are welded solid to your jeep you'll be fine. The junkyard had crappy welds and I took the whole hinge with me

I had the driver door hinge pin replace at the local body shop. best $82.50 I ever spent. Took them 1.5 hours.

That sounds like a pretty darn good idea. I just bought two hinges to replace the ones on my '98 XJ driver's side, and I'm reading and seriously thinking against tackling the job, without all the right tools. I would never have thought of a local body shop.
