Relay Clicks no start
So I recently bought this car and it has a button to start it I replaced the neutral safety switch and it has a brand battery and it starts with the button but not with the key the button was wired as an addon it doesnt tap into the original wire harness so im stumped.

The original switch probably went bad so we wired around it. Likely scenario. Maybe a new Ignition switch and lose the button.Or just use the button

So we're talking about a 1998 (gathered from username)? Just need to make sure.
So where do the button wires go?
One end needs 12 v so it could tap from something under the dash. The other end ties into the starter circuit. If it's connected to the starter solenoid directly, it's bypassed the entire starter circuit (ignition key, NSS, starter relay, etc.).

what is your aim?
does the key work the accessories, just not the starter ?
