this is probably what gave me the most grey hairs during my lift install, trying to figure out how to get this baby out.

After beating it for a couple days trying to collapse it my grandpa brought out a 1.5" fence post about 9 feet long and a quart of burned motor oil. drenched the bushing with the oil, Stuck the pipe in through the passenger side with the axle dropped...... 5 swings with the mini sledge hammer and she was out. Good luck, let us know when shes out.

I drill several holes thru the rubber, then knock the rubber out, then make a cut in the bottom of the outer metal sleeve and a cut in the top of the metal sleeve with a Saw-z-all. Falls right out 10 minutes later.

Mine looked just like this lol. I got mine out with a 1 5/16" socket that I turned down on the lathe back in high school. Worked out pretty good. Getting the new sleeve back in was a different story...its got me questioning if MacGyver is my real father...lol

Geeze guys, the best and easiest way is to use a ball joint press. I use mine for ball joints, u joints, control arm bushings you name it, anything that needs to be pressed out really. You can get them cheap, less that $100 and theyre worth every penny!

I'm all for the right tools, but this "press" looks an awful lot like just a C-clamp. I'll try my C-clamp first. If it fails, then I'll get the special tool.
