Who makes Rock-It parts? Perhaps get in touch with them and let them know of this?

For the record, I don't think you're over-reacting. The picture clearly shows one thing while the actual product is something clearly different. If I were you, I would get the email addy for the top dogs at Quadretec and send them that very same picture with the words "bait and switch" somewhere in you're letter. I'm willing to bet that at a minimum, their catalog description will change. Who knows, maybe you'll even get some money back.

This one but it also has the left sided air intake. Not as I remembered seeing it in years past.

 

That one uses the stock rubber hose as well. I can't see how it would be any better, IMO. Thanks anyway buddy!!

 

The factory rubber hose is probably the most restrictive part of the factory air intake and anyone suggesting performance or milage gains from an air intake system that still uses that hose is lying! Not to mention that $159 for what you got is a ripoff! Send quad pictures and demand restitution.

You my friend were ripped off. I have been using Quad for years without a problem. My brother tried them once and out of four items ordered, only one was correct. Oh well, stuff happens

IDK, I might!! It has been a PITA big time!! I already called back and was given the runaround and wound up getting P.O.ed and hanging up. Basically, they are saying that it is the part, and the description is just generic and produced by the manufacturer, and thus not their fault!! I will call back and see when I am feeling more tranquil and accepting. I'm usually a bit of a d!ck when it comes to this type of thing!! That usually gets me nowhere, but I can't take BS, and will tell them that. They don't like that!! Other than the fact that it is not what I thought I was ordering, it seems to be well constructed and better than the stock set up. I do not think there is a complete intake for the Renix, if you know of something post it, so I will keep what I have and be happy with it. If I can get a few bucks back or some credit all the better. Just chaulk it up to lesson learned!! Later!!
