I don't know if this has been posted before,but this truck is only about 12" away from being a submarine.Looks like his snorkel works good.

I do not like the way that snorkle is built either. With that being said it is not my XJ and if the PO wanted to build his own snorkle, I'd say that he got it done. There are better ways to mount the bottle than that IMHO, but he must not be having any cooling issues with it. The problem with buying a rig that has been modified by a PO is that you have no idea what was actually done to it!! Judging by that snorkle, I'd go over the rig with a fine tooth comb to find anymore "creative mods" and get them fixed!! Just my two pennies worth hope it help;s in some way!! Later!!

I think that is the one with the dumped football bottle and I still don't see why it does not overheat.

It would be wise to go over every bearing and seal on the vehicle since the snorkel pretty much tells you it has seen ALOT of mud. Mud = bad bearings/seals
