Default problems after lift

i just installed a 3in lift with springs in the front and adl in the back with new rough country shocks all around, after a couple days i started getting a thumping from the back. the best i can tell its coming from the rear shocks. is it possible the that bushings are bad out of the box and the shock is hitting the body.

Does it happen on acceleration, when cornering, or when you hit a bump in the road?

If you're getting thumping from shocks then the mounting bolts are not tight enough. That is what causes that.

B-Wood. You may need to give RC a call. I think they have a defect with their shock bushings. My son and I just installed the RC 6.5" lift kit on his XJ a few weeks ago. We were 4wheeling last Wednesday when he noticed a really loud thumping coming from his driver's side front wheel. When we took a look, we noticed the lower shock bushing from that shock was GONE. We have no clue when where or why it departed his Jeep but, it did. We are going to do the same thing. Contact Rough Country and say WTF!! I think they should replace the shocks for free. I'll post up what I find out from them and would appreciate any info. you get from them.

I had a problem with RC rear shocks also on a tj lift, mine started "thumping" while wheeling one day and broke on a hump in the road on the way home. Missing a Explorer then hitin a ditch later I limped it home and ordered Trailmasters for it.
