I just recently got a 96 XJ and don't have working windows. All the switches don't work at all, and I've checked the fuse and it works fine so I'm not sure what could be wrong now. When I press the switches they don't even make any sound. I have very basic knowledge on cars so if anyone has experienced this as well and knows a way to fix it I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

 

Peel the boot back from between the body and the door and look for any broken wires. Power windows use a circuit breaker on the fuse box, IIRC.
