front axle hub
rear axle hub
hello everyone. I am new to this forum and new cherokee owner. i did own a 92 yj at one time but i love my XJ's. Anyways. i recently lifted my cherokee. and looking into regearing for the 33 tires i got on there. from my research i saw that maybe the 4.56 is the way to go. now im shopping for parts and possibly put lockers on both my axles...the thing is im not sure what dana series my 1995 jeep cherokee I6 4.0L is excatly. read somewhere that there is a cut off year. i believe i have a Dana 30 front and a Dana 35 in the rear. Am i correct? im looking for people who may identify the rear end. thank you everyone and looking forward to your response.

Looks like a Chrysler 8.25" rear end to me.

Edit 1 - Dana 30 in front.

Edit 2 - https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/rea...fication-8382/

It's hard to tell by your picture, but I'm looking at the notch in the top of the cover which if you look at my previous posted thread reference, the D35 doesn't have.

I don't know where this picture originated but it shows that the 8.25 has
two horns on the case above the pinion as well as the flat bottom at the back.
