Default pieces of rubber bushing in tcase???

ive been having a problem with my transfer case not shifting properly so i checked and changed the fluid today....while draining the old fluid i noticed chunks of rubber (im guessing some sort of bushing???) coming out as well...is there a bushing inside that is the culprit of my shifting issues??? and if so how hard is it to replace?

could be that your t-case has been opened up previously and what you have found are the remnants of the silicon/rvt sealer used to seal the case when they were putting it back togethor

ok Ill learn how tomorrow! How heavy are they. Is it a job that requires lowering it down with a jack or pretty simple to unbolt and drop it down yourself

Like 40 pounds. I can walk u through it. Just pm me. U basically take off drive shafts. Put jack on tranny. Unbolt cross member. Take off six bolts hooked from t case to tranny. Along with linkage and sensors. Slide off t case.

But before all that I would give it another flush and just unbolt linkage and try to manually engage 2wd from the t case directly
