Default Pick a Part for me?

Hi. I need a crank position sensor for my ‘98 XJ Classic 4.0

Mopar part # 56027866AC

Compatible years ‘97-‘98

It’s on nationwide backorder. The closest Pick a Part with a compatible vehicle is about a 1.5 hour drive away.

Anyone care to check their local dealer or find a used Mopar part and send it to me? I’m currently in OKC, OK.

Of course I’ll reimburse for your time, effort.

Thank you!

Good for you wanting Mopar as most aftermarkets are junk right of the box. Reliability sucks so bad you can go thru multiples before finding a good one. Pulling a Mopar from a yard may or may not be any better as you have no idea of its working condition. They do fail over time from the constant heat cycling in the engine bay, which is what wears them out. So its a gamble.

I Googled your part and a couple places popped up for Mopar. New. Tasca Parts being one of them. Not cheap tho. About $120 shipped. That price will only go up with time.

Not much help there, but its something.

See above. Looking for Mopar.

i actually ordered from Tasca a coupla days ago and they eventually cancelled the order as it’s backorded countrywide and they see no availability horizon.

Thanks though.

Your best bet is to check e-bay and see if someone has one that they have hoarded over the years. Pretty sure it is a discontinued part and you aren't likely to find a new OEM anywhere.

I know what you’re looking for and you’re not likely to find it . Since covid hit I’m not seeing ten cents of difference in factory vs aftermarket .

I have crank sensors that I advance and sell. I can leave them in stock position if you'd like. I warranty them for 3 years. After 3 years if they fail I will still pay to have them shipped back for R&D.

Genuine Mopar is getting harder and harder to find. I've been using either NTK or Standard.
