Whats up all.
I got some 31's i wanna put o my jeep ( actually stand 29 +3/4 inches tall) and they are 10.5 inches wide. I dont have a lift and i understand that i will have to trim the fenders pretty generously. But my jeep is a 4 door so how do i trim the back.... if anyone on here is running 31's on a stock XJ could you put up some pics so i can judge how to trim mine.. Also, will theses tires rub on the rear leaf spring forcing me to get some spacers? thanks all

Ryan

You need at least a 3" lift. I had bigger tires without a lift and started rubbing all over, learning the hard way. You'll need offset wheels as well.

Do you really want to start chopping up your jeep? I wouldn't do that unless I was extreme rock crawling with 33's or bigger.

I have 31's on cragar rims with 3.75 inch backspacing with just 1.75 inches of shackel lift with no lift in front. No rubbing but lots of trimming. I ran 31's with out the new rims and the front rubbed when turning on the lower control arms. You could use spacers in place of new rims but you will need to trim/roll your wheel wells.
