Default PERMA LOK

I see the same people that make the Posi lok make a perma lok that permanately locks the axles together. Would this set up be streetable? I mean I have an open dif. so wouldnt it still take turns just fine?

Thanks,
-Nathan

If the axles are permanently locked together (spool), then there's no way for them to differentiate (turn at different speeds) in a turn and that would make for some tuff/miserable street driving.

if you're talking about the posi-lok/vacuum disconnect axle shaft motor thing found on some early cherokees and all yj wranglers, then yes, it can be permanently locked and still drive ok on the street with an open diff.

Yeah I was referring to fork that slides the sleeve over to connect axles. I found out some people just use washers?
