I wanted the clean look from removing the side moldings. So, I did it. Now, I have this other problem. I thought who ever painted the Jeep had removed the molding to paint everything but they didn't. So I am sorta stuck with this clear coat lines around it. If I stand far away, I can't really tell.
What would be the best bet to do this? I'm thinking wetsand and then buff it?
Here are the pictures.

Can't really tell when you are standing far though.

I just did the same thing a week or so ago and have the same lines on one side...going to a body work friend of mine on Monday to get his opinion. I'll post the info I receive.

Body shops are never able to match factory paint, it will be close but never a match. even it you wet sand the edges you are still going to have two different shades of paint. I guess its up to you if thats ok or not, IMO I would just put the trim back on.

It will look better when you get the edges knocked off the clear coat, thats for sure. I just hate when you find stuff like this, and someone has done some half a$$ work. Then you gotta go back do it right.
