Default Overheating causing overcharging?

Just got my timing issue fixed the other day so yesterday was the first day I've actually been able to drive it around some to see how it does (and to see how many other problems come up since it's been sitting for 4 years.) It was doing ok then it was sputtering some, but not as bad as it was before, more like when a sensor is going bad. CEL came on so no biggie, I'll just stop by autozone and get the codes read on the way home. Few more miles down the road, the check gauges light came on and I saw that my voltage was spiked all the way to 19 VDC. Right after that I saw my temp starting to rise. So I pulled over right away to keep something from catching on fire from it overcharging. After looking things over to see if there was something simple causing it I started it back up and things were fine again. Got it over to Advance auto near by and it pulled 3 codes,

P1594
P1391
P0122

Forgot what order but what I looked up was throttle position sensor, crank position sensor, and battery over voltage/charging. The 2 sensors are self explanatory but the overcharging I'm unsure about. It didn't do it anymore on the way home since the temp stayed around 210-220. I figured on changing the alternator at some point anyways cause its not exactly in bad shape, but it has been sitting for a while and probably wouldn't hurt.

Any ideas on if when it overheated it could have caused the over charging?
