Optima Battery for my 1991
WT Hey.......?
no one sells the "OPTIMA" Deep Cycle for my 1991 Jeep Cherokee?
i go on line to every "brick n mortar" parts store and not ONE sells a OPTIMA for my 1991.
can someone explain?
so.. I know one o you guys out there has one of these in yer rig, send me part number so I can buy the right one. Please? ( lookin for the yellow top as I am gonna have a winch, light bar etc etc.)
appreciate any feedback...... friggin parts stores.......

34/78 group size. Maybe Optima changed case dimensions and don't recommend anymore, so check dimensions online first.

I would not spend the extra $ on a Optima.
Best battery for the $ I have found is Bosch available every other month at a great discount at Pep Boys.

I bought the red top with the most cold cranking amps with dual posts, and it fit my 91. the yellow top should be the same. measure your battery and the space and go to the aps and see if u can measure the yellow top, if they have one sitting there.

Optima's quality control went south a few years ago when they were bought by another company.

Are you running lots of extra load? If not, I don't reckon you need anything special for an XJ. As long as it cranks, it's good in my book.
