Sure. The 4.0 isn't terribly finicky about oil. Some run 5-30, others 15-40, others something in-between. They all seem to work just fine.

Because you live in Wisconsin watch the lower number, I wouldn't go above 10. 10-40 should be fine.

If you're kind to it, it'll go another 200k-300k...

Yeah, the 15W40 is a bit thick in the winter over here.

More importantly, select a good quality oil filter only. Super critical because of the way the filter mounts. A cheapie filter without a good anti-drainback valve will drain out when the engine is shut off and only deliver air to your engine bearings initially on the next start. Mopar, Wix, Napa Gold are all fine. Oil filters the colors of Halloween are to be avoided.

I prefer puralator pure1 personally, not too pricey but theyve served me well for almost 50k miles give or take

But for gods aake NEVER use fram, no anti drainback on it

Trick-or-Treat is not a good strategy for selecting oil filters, eh?

Sure, why not. Now if you do some research you may decided to go a little lighter on your initial number but you can use anything you feel comfortable with biggest deal is that filter as others have mentioned. Highly recommend an oversized purolator p1.

Anybody know much about this oil?

Anybody have any experience with it? I know some of you run diesel oil in your 4.0's and I believe this is a diesel oil too.

Delo is the Chevron competitor to Shells' Rotella. They are both very good oils in a 4.0
The LE version is "low emission" mixed-fleet oil and has a somewhat lower Phosphorous and Zinc level than the standard product...but still slightly more than passenger car motor oil.

Is it synthetic? I read the bottle but it didn't really say that is was but the wording made it sound like it was.

The other oils say "Full Synthetic" but this one says "IsoSyn" which I guess means its synthetic....... I dunno maybe it's a dumb question. Shell's isn't though is it?

Just go with the Rotella and a Wix and get it over with.
