I already have a combo I use. Probably going to a Mopar filter next time though.

For what its worth wal-mart introduced a new line of fram filters that are not sold on the shelf only used in the tire and lube express shop. It is called a fram core and is constructed completely different and the internals are all metal no plastic anti drain back. Iv also noticed they hold oil much better than the standard fram filters. If iv got some spare time in my shop I'll cut one of each apart and take pictures.

Here's how I feel about Fram. I don't care what they come up with now. They've been absolutely derelict in their quality/design/function in their filters forever. I'm not rewarding them, nor do I trust them now, considering all the damage that has been done to our 4.0s over the years. I'll support someone who looked out for us all along.
Ive noticed that since i used a Fram oil filter my jeep starts with more noise... Like it takes a few secs for the oil to hit the bearings... This weekend Napa gold all the way.....

I did a oil/filter change on a friend's 4.0 XJ recently. I went ahead and picked up the filter (NAPA GOLD) and already had the oil (NAPA PREMIUM). His oil didn't look all that dirty but he's had to do alot of highway driving this HOT summer. He usually gets his oil changes at a local tire distributer. It had a FRAM filter. Anyway,he said his o/p gauge would usually read 45 to 50lbs cold and just above 30lbs hot at an idle. Now he's reading close to 60lbs cold and just below 40 at idle hot. He's happy.
On more thing. What's with the popular use of Rotella in the 4.0's?
