Does anyone have a cross reference number for a full size oil filter to replace the "shorty"? Is there any benefit?

Google this phrase "oversized oil filter chart jeep Cherokee" and go to the first result. Not sponsored links.

I would insert the link but i don't know if it's against forum rules to link to another forum. I know other ones I am on sometimes it isn't allowed.

Has anybody used the super-tech from Wal-Mart in a 4.0? We've always run it since we found it since it's a synthetic oil & it's done great in our other vehicles

I wuldn't waste my money when you can get Rotella and a Mopar oil filter at Walmart.

As offroadordnance explained, the diesel oil has more zinc for our 4.0s with flat tappets.
