smell of oil burning, i had no problems of leaks with this jeep until i put a lift on it. when i put the lift on i notice it always leaves a spot, mostly seems like its from the drain plug which is on as good as it can be. its pretty clean and a good plug. just recently i started smelling the oil burning. any ideas?

shouldnt be your plug, that is just the lowest point so the oil is running down to it. check higher for source, account for gravity and wind when driving down the road. Shouldnt be related to your lift I wouldnt think?

 

If you just had oil changed and you didn't do it. The filter could have left the gasket on and stacked the new one on that happens a lot of you trust greenhorns to change your oil

 

So check oil filter

 

Always check old oil filter to see if gasket is on there or left behind on filter mount
