Looks like my oil pressure sensor switch has gone ***** up.
jeep is still running fine. Temps are all normal. So leads me to believe that it’s only the sensor that has died on me here.
Occasionally it will read normal but then right back to 0. But again the engine is running normal and temps are not increasing on the temp gauge.
What brands have y’all had good reliable results with?

Put a Napa Echlin line one in my '00 about 6 maybe 7 years ago and so far so good.
Might want to check the hole it goes in.
Guy's report it getting gunked up in there.
Might want to consider this.
I finally got around to checking my oil pressure with a mechanical tester awhile back.
Got it in my head to plumb fittings so I could run the tester and the sensor at the same time.
I was curious how they compared to each other.
At a very hot idle and the cluster gauge and tester pretty much read the same.
Now I capped off that port after I was done. Used some thread sealant there too.
The hope is that I can get that cap off whenever I want to hook up a tester with less fuss.
I have yet to try and do anticipate maybe having a problem getting that cap off when I do.
We shall see some day.
LOL.

Thanks Ralph. Will pick one up tomorrow. Have to admit it freaked me out at first...but then I was like there’s been no indication of an issue prior on my jeep. So as I was driving listened to the motor....no difference....watched the temp gauge like a hawk....zero change. Right where it should be. So immediately figured it certainly looked like it was just the sensor going bad.
Got the new one installed yesterday.... so far so good
A deep well 1-1/16" socket is your best friend on this one. Makes for super fast removal/install.
I ran the same aux/mechanical gauge set up but I made mine permanent. I used an 18inch Grease gun hose with 1/8 npt threads , used a 1/8 coupling and a 2 inch 0-100 gauge from grainger.. The hose is rated to 2500 psi so there is almost no possibility of leakage. Threads right into where you had yours and the gauge tucks in right between the fuse box and the charcoal can
