Just did mine. Used the one piece gasket. Removed lower shock bolts, track bar, and sway bar. Droped pan cleaned Everything , Used a thin amount of black silicone in the block put the gasket on the block put in a few bolts to hold it up there , walked away for an hour or to ( to let the rvt cure went back installed pan. Put it all back together. 5 hrs total. Oh and did the rear main seal while i was under there (mine was leaking) overall not a bad job to do..

those videos did help, and i was thinking of replacing the rear main at the same time, mines not leaking but i know its a commen seal to fail so might as well replace it while the pan is off

One piece Gaskets are great!
Felpro and Victor usually give you plastic gasket holders that make it real easy.

If you already have a one piece gasket the oil pan only need to be lowered, not removed! Goes for any vehicle/engine with a one piece gasket.

You should replace your rear main bearing oil seal when you have the pan out!!

Close. The PO couldnt get the pan down far enough so he cut the gasket to get around the oil pump. But u are correct now that it has been done right i will not have to replace it. ; )

this "simple" job has turned into a nightmare.

where do i start....
cant take wheels off cause PO has wheel lock nuts but i have no key
cant lower the axle low enough to clear the pan
air compressor broke
drain plug is stripped
got oil in my eye
dropped my good light in the pan of oil
PO had 3 diffrent sized bolts in the pan
was missing a few bolts, lol

so ive got the pan off but not out, im taking a break and will get another go at it in the next day or two
