Lift and driveline angle questions...
Hey, I've got a 2000 Jeep xJ with the following additions..
-4.5" Rubicon express lift- full leaf packs etc.
-Heavy duty currie steering setup
-1.5" wheel spacers 5x4.5
-33 by 11.50 inch tires
-stock finder flakes etc
I just had installed a set of 33" tires, and it turns out that they rub a little in the front end, and I do not want to remove the stock finder flares because I like the stock look...
Well, I think I'm going to install a 2" coil spacer for the front end and a 1.5" set of blocks with whatever shims y'all think would work.. but I've been told that if I go any higher will will have to install a SYE kit, but I do not have the money to install one. So I think I'm going to instead buy a transfer case lowering kit, but I have no idea what size would be good. But I also would like to know the Down sides to installing one.
I would really appreciate it if y'all could tell me what the best setup would be to allow my new tires to not rub, without removing the finder flares, by adding more lift. But also would like to know what driveline additions I will need to upgrade to.
Thanks y'all, hope to get some good info..
