O2 sensor issues

ok so my check engine light went on last week and i had it scanned and my 2 front O2 sensors went bad so i replaced them and now my check engine light continues to come back on. iv disconnected my battery 3 times already to clear the code but its come back on everytime within 24-48 hours? am i just not disconnecting my battery for long enough or??? where else should i look? just at the wiring from my O2 sensor?? any insight would be great i know it doesnt affect anything but my gas milage but having that light on annoys the living *&^% outta me. any suggestions would be great, thanks.

idk the exact code number i just know its was for sensors 1 and 2. and i replaced them both. would the code numbers help significantly?

it may be a code that you cannot reset by disconnecting the battery. Have an auto parts store clear the code, and post the actual codes you were receiving.

I went through this on my '97. Replaced both and still got a light. My wires had touched the exhaust manifold at one time, shorting them out. After I fixed them I realized there's a oxygen sensor fuse for the 02 heater circuit in the power distribution box under the hood. My fuse was blown, replaced it and haven't had a problem yet. Check the wiring and fuse.

ok, autoparts stores arnt allowed to clear codes hear so my buddys gonna do it for me. ill make sure to write down the codes so i can post em up here and get any extra advice/opinions

The heater circuit IS fused. If both of the codes have the word "heater" in them, the fuse is almost assuredly the problem.
It is located inside the engine bay in the power distribution box (black box on the left side as facing the engine).
