When I got my Jeep I saw this part sitting in the rear of the engine compartment. it has a long thin air hose connected to it and two or three posts that are broken off of something that I cannot find. I'm certain that it goes to the a/c and or heat because a part moves when I turn the heat on and off. If someone could tell me what this is, where it goes, and maybe a link to find a new one, that would be awesome.
Since I'm computer illiterate I posted the picute to "My Photos." on my profile. hopefully it isn't too hard to find. if i figure out how to post it on here i will.
Thanks

Yeah that's the heater control valve. I would get new hose clamps when you replace it. The new one should have arrows pointing the direction that it is supposed to flow. Just take a minute and look at it and it shouldn't be to hard to replace it.

Thanks guys. It WAS the heater control valve. the person before me bypassed it. and i put a new one in.
BUT...
the heater is still not blowing hard. Is there an air filter or is the air intake filter one in the same? or could this be some other problem?
