Need some help. I have a 1994 Jeep Cherokee and the car is not starting. The car cranks but does not start. Almost seems like it is not getting spark. Replaced the coil and still nothing. ANy ideas?

Check for a spark. Take out one spark plug, with a long plug wire, then connect the plug to the wire. Now touch the side of the plug to something metal that makes a good ground. Laying the plug on something metal is best. Have someone crank the engine and look for a spark at the plug.
First find out whether there is a spark or not then you can proceed with troubleshooting.

First, I am not that familiar with the XJ. I came to this side by accident. I assume they are similar to the ZJ. Assuming they are, when you turn the ignition to on, you should hear the fuel pump in the fuel tank turn on and run for a few seconds. This pressurizes the fuel system for the start.
On the fuel injection system there should be a test port for a pressure gage. With battery disconnected, and rags around this port. You can open the valve with a small screwdriver or pin punch. It is a Schrader valve like a tire valve.
Fuel will spray out if it is under pressure. This just tells you if you have some fuel pressure for the start.
If this isn't right or sound right for your vehicle, my apology. I am sure someone will correct me.

Could be the CPS. That seems to be a problem item. See this article. It tells how to check. It also has ignition trouble shooting. The pin number seem to be good for these engines but check your wiring diagram if you are not sure. Here
The CPS location may be different on your engine but you will know what to look for. I have never changed one out. Reading some of these threads, it appears to be a tight fit and not easy access.
