a "not so responsive" accelerator?
The XJ's that i've had the pleasure to be around have always seemed to have a very responsive accelerator. This 99 that i'm messing with now seems to pause some and hold a bit when revved up. I don't believe it to be the pedal sticking, it seems internal. Anybody else ever seen this? Thanks

Never hurts to get some carb cleaner or throttle body cleaner and thoroughly cleanse the throttle spring mechanism that attaches to the throttle body. They can get dirty and bind a bit............

be more descriptive if you can about the problem, is there throttle surge, stalling, lack of power?
