So the windows won't work from the driver's side switch OR the individual switches? Does it make a clicking noise when you try?

I'll have the problem where I Can control it but the passengers can't. The reason being, the wires for the passenger switches run under the floor right about where the driver puts their feet. When you get in and get out and back in, you feet rub on those wires, thus causing a short somewhere. This, for me, is solved by hitting my driver control and then all the other one's work! Just give the driver one a good knock and see if that works.

Has anyone taken the switch apart to see what might actually be causing the problem? I remember my sister having an issue with her Volvo with the main power window switch and after googling the problem found that many were successful just cleaning the contacts underneith the switch. That's what I did and it worked... I know the volvo is much different, but maybe the issue is similar?

instead of just throwing money at it, take a voltmeter to it. See if you are getting power from the driver switch to the rest of the windows. If I remember right, all of the passenger doors are in circuit with the drivers door. So, one short or break at the drivers door and none work. I would verify that the switch is what's causing them to not be power before you replace it.

Edit* And if it is not the switch, chase down the wires to find the break/short

Instead of hitting the door switch, which can cause even more damage, open up the drivers door and peel back the rubber tube that goes between the door and the frame and look for broken wires. You may have to peel the tube out from both ends. Quite often there is a wire broken in there and most of the time it's the black one which is the ground wire for the switches. If you find a broken wire don't just join the ends as opening and closing the door will loosen the joint and you'll just end up where you started. The best way to fix it is to solder the wires together and then shrink tube it
If there are no broken wires in the rubber tube then you may have a broken wire or wires running under the carpet right where you rest your feet. I know, great place to run wires right? You have to peel back the carpet and inspect the wire harness for broken or frayed wires and this would be a great time to move that harness away from where you rest your feet.
Good luck.
