How can I test the fuel pump if it is any good? I feel like this diagnosis is leading no where... I have tested at the connector for the fuel pump side for continuity, and there is

so, you have 12 volts to the pump and a good ground there at the connector?
If so, the pump is bad. Use only Bosch as a replacement

Batman this is what needs to be done to find issue. In real time all these test can be done in less than hour. Cruiser almost got ya to the end.Hang in there.

Ok... I'll be patient, we'll I'm in austin for the weekend but first thing Monday I'll try cranking the jeep and checking the fuel pump ballast at the starter motor relay...

Yuo will only get a short 12volt when its not running its to prime system. Gonna need two people one under testing other cycling key.

Testing the pump is simple. Run a couple of jumper wires back from the battery and see what it does. Nothing fancy - you aren't going to drive around like that. Just get power right to the pump's connector and see if it fires up and provides the correct pressure.
If it doesn't, replace it. Take Cruiser's advice on the Bosch.

Well here's the update...
I went a little backwards and tried some new things. I do not have an idea what gave me the reason to try this but i sprayed starting fluid into the throttle body and fired her up and she cranked and started for a few seconds before she died.... So that's a good sign i hope...
Then i did as cruiser said... I went to the starter motor relay and with the wife's help she turned the key and i found it weird but it lit up the test light, just not so bright. So i tried it again and the light was even less, and after a third time no more light. So that is that.
A co worker lent me a multi-meter... and im not sure if i used it right but i put it to DCV section and 200. I put the negative stick or needle (whatever you want to call it) in between the negative terminal as a ground. Tested the battery... 12.0 so thats a good sign... here are my readings that i hope i did right
Fuel pump relay: Red = 12.1, yellow = 0, at the turn of the key = 11.4, Orange = 0, at the turn of the key = 8.8 but then dips down to 0, Orange/ black = 0, at the turn of the key = it jumped around 1 - 6.8- 11.6 - 8
Then i went to the starter motor relay: battery terminal nut: 12 Both ( car off and the turn of the key), orange wire (fuel pump ballast) = 0, at the turn of the key = 4.3 - 6 - 0.
By this point i went to check the the resistor that i bypassed and no light up with the test light nor could i get a reading but i could have had issues trying to find a ground.
I went ahead and cut all three wires from the fuel pump side connector, spliced it, and ran the wires to the battery. And..... nothing.... No sound nothing, either i did not have good ground or the pump is poo poo
So i will try to do it soon but i will keep you guys posted, I will be buying either just a pump (i know bosch) or the whole assembly (freegdr gave me a part #) since i kind of ruined the connector for future use as well as the seal/ retainer that holds it in place.

I am not willing to buy a new jeep just because of an obstacle in the road. (lol, with the jeep i would just climb over it) sorry that was a side not...

I do not know if i will start a new thread for this but i figured since i am in there already i'll replace the starter motor relay... the wires that go to it, they are fusible link wires. I was thinking on cleaning them up or just making a small box with fuses. How would i go about finding the size fuses to use for those individual wires?
